Frail Older Persons Advice and Liaison Service

MacMillan Cancer Centre

Our Older People’s Champions Network aims to raise the profile of older people and the standards of care they receive across our organisation.

An Older People’s Champion is a member of staff who has had additional training to highlight the specific needs of older people. They work across our hospitals to improve the experiences of older people in hospital.

We have more than 1,000 Older People’s Champions who are looking out for the needs of older people and will be happy to help you.

What do Older People's Champions do?

  • Listen to concerns, questions or comments

  • Speak out for older people

  • Give reassurance

  • Provide assistance

Champions can be identified by their Older People's Champion badge of an oak tree. Look out for staff wearing the badge... We are looking out for you!
