Our pharmacists (chemists) and medicines management technicians provide a clinical service to our hospitals wards. 

They visit the wards and check the medicines of in-patients are correctly prescribed and make sure that they have enough medicine to last their stay in hospital.

Healthcare at Home

Healthcare at Home provides homecare services on behalf of the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.  Healthcare at Home have recently been experiencing significant operational issues and these may impact on the service provided to our patients.

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust have a dedicated homecare team who can be contacted on 0116 258 4476 / 4477 (between 9-5pm Monday- Friday). Outside these hours, the on-call pharmacist can be contacted via switchboard (0300 303 1573).

Please contact the homecare team if you are experiencing problems with your Healthcare at Home service. Our homecare team will endeavour to resolve the issues concerned on your behalf.
