Our pharmacists (chemists) and medicines management technicians provide a clinical service to our hospitals wards. 

They visit the wards and check the medicines of in-patients are correctly prescribed and make sure that they have enough medicine to last their stay in hospital.

Homecare at UHL

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust have a dedicated homecare team who work alongside your clinical team and external providers to deliver a high quality service for the delivery of your specialist medication (plus any associated ancillaries and / or nurse requirements) to your specified address.

The team can be contacted on 0116 258 4476 / 4477 (between 9-5pm Monday- Friday). Outside these hours, the on-call pharmacist can be contacted via switchboard (0300 303 1573). Please also read and retain any contact and medication information  provided for  you by the homecare provider and your clinical team.
