Members of the public are invited to find out more about life at Leicester’s Hospitals at their Annual Public Meeting (APM) this September.

As part of the Trust’s on-going commitment to engaging with local communities, this year’s Annual Public Meeting will be held on Wednesday 20 September in the Peepul Centre, located in the heart of the Belgrave Road area.


A health and information fair will be held from 2-4pm where members of the public will have the opportunity to browse a variety of informative stands. New for this year will be Leicester’s Hospitals first dedicated ‘Home Birth Team’, as well as a special jobs and careers area, where people can find out more about current vacancies and career paths within the Trust, including both pharmaceutical and operating theatre jobs.


For the third year running, local charity Heartwize, will running practical workshops on ‘how to save a life’ by showing members of the public vital lifesaving skills such as CPR.


Refreshments and snacks will be available for all attendees before the formal meeting begins at 4.30pm, during which the Trust Board will review the last year and will look ahead to some of the developments and challenges it faces in the coming years. Members of the public will also have the opportunity to put questions to Chief Executive, John Adler and Chairman, Karamjit Singh. 


Karamjit Singh, Chairman at Leicester’s Hospitals said: “Our annual public meeting is one of the highlights of the year and is a fantastic opportunity for us to talk directly to members of the public about what we have been doing to improve services over the last year, and more importantly to talk about what plans we have for the future.


“As always, we have over 40 stands where staff across the Trust will have the opportunity to showcase the fantastic work they do. We look forward to welcoming our members and the public to the event!"


Everyone is welcome with no booking required and parking is free at the venue and there are also nearby parking spaces along Belgrave Road.
