Recruitment creative - Musculoskeletal

but you'll want to stay.

If you’re interested in working within musculoskeletal then we can ensure that you will treat a diverse mix of patients, undergoing a variety of orthopaedic surgical procedures. We are responsible for trauma and elective orthopaedic surgery, pre-assessment clinics, fracture clinic and a sports medicine department.

Our fracture clinic and trauma wards are based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary and include a dedicated fracture neck of femur ward and a spinal ward.

Elective orthopaedic in-patient wards and an admissions/day case ward are based three miles across the city at the Leicester General Hospital. There we carry out upper and lower limb surgery, including hips, knees, shoulders hands and feet in new purpose-built theatres. The sports medicine department is also based at the General Hospital.

The pace of work is fast and we see high numbers of patients.  We put our patients first, priding ourselves on providing excellent care with low lengths of in-patient stay and continually looking for ways to improve our service. This is reflected by the positive feedback we receive from patients and visitors.

We provide a variety of nursing opportunities to suit everyone, including working with in-patients, on a day case ward or clinic, to a variety of specialist nurse posts in sports medicine, hand surgery, discharge, infection control and trauma co-ordinators.

Supporting your learning and development is important to us and we offer many career opportunities to help you progress within our team.

We pride ourselves on being a friendly and good teamwork and camaraderie is important to us.  There are good links between staff and management with effective communication networks so staff feel supported.
