Miss Kelly Lambert

I studied medicine here in Leicester at the Leicester University Medical School graduating with a distinction in the clinical finals in 2000. I continued both my basic and higher surgical training within the East Midlands region and developed an interest in breast surgery while working as a higher surgical trainee in the Breast Unit at Glenfield.

During my training I was able to run and contribute to a number of clinical research projects and papers in the field of breast disease which have been presented nationally and internationally.

I obtained my fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2011 and was appointed as the Oncoplastic Breast Fellow for 2013 at the Royal Surrey County Hospital and Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead (one of the founding centres of plastic surgery in the UK).

While there I obtained additional experience in the management of breast disease from national practice leaders and specific experience in modern plastic surgical techniques, oncology and management. I obtained my diploma in health service finance, established an Oncoplastic meeting and fostered a continuing interest in service development.

I was appointed as a consultant Oncoplastic breast surgeon at Kingston Hospital Foundation NHS Trust, London, in 2014 with an honorary contract at the Royal Marsden.

I was appointed as a consultant breast surgeon back home in Leicester in November 2015.

My main professional interests are the development of my Oncoplastic practice, Education and service development.

Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my young family and live music.
