Soft tissue sarcomas are rare cancers. University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL) is part of the East Midlands Sarcoma Service (EMSS). The care of patients diagnosed with soft tissue sarcomas is managed by this network-wide multidisciplinary team. EMSS is one of fifteen accredited soft tissue sarcoma treatment units in England and Wales. Surgery most frequently occurs at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust as part of the EMSS. All treatment is individualised and will be delivered close to home, where circumstances allow.
