Dr Robert Burd  GMC: 3331956

Consultant Dermatologist

MB ChB Leicester 1990

I graduated from the Leicester University Medical School in 1990 and subsequently completed my general professional training in internal medicine before entering higher specialist training in dermatology.

My Dermatology training occurred in multiple centres: Amersham, Leeds, York and finally back in Leicester. Following completion of my training I took up a consultant post at The Hospital of St Cross, Rugby before being invited back to lead the dermatological surgery and laser service here at UHL.

My areas of specialist interest include cutaneous oncology, both the diagnosis and treatment of the full range of skin malignancies. I have responsibility for the cutaneous laser service in Leicestershire.  I also do general adult and paediatric clinics, mainly in peripheral sites in the counties of Leicestershire and Rutland.

I Chair the Leicester based multi-disciplinary skin cancer team which provides specialist services to both Leicester patients as well as those from Northamptonshire and parts of Lincolnshire. Currently I am the Head of Service for the dermatology team based here in Leicester at UHL

Consultant Dermatologist

MB ChB 1999 University of Glasgow

I am a Consultant Dermatologist experienced in the diagnosis and care of all aspects of skin problems. I have particular expertise in the early diagnosis and the surgical management of skin cancers.
