Endocrinology

Endocrinology is the branch of science or medicine that deals with the endocrine glands, hormones and specialised study of hormonal disturbances, for example diseases of the thyroid and adrenal glands.

We have developed a shared-care thyroid register so that all patients with thyroid disease are shared between their doctor (GP) and the hospital, giving the best possible outcomes for patients.

We also have a range of specialist endocrine clinics based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary dealing with specific conditions.
