Charity work - Mandalay School For The Deaf (MSFD)

Our Senior Audiologist Hassan Saleem joined Mandalay School For The Deaf (MSFD) in 2015. MSFD provides practical and financial support for hearing impaired and deaf children at a local school in Myanmar (Burma).  

MSFD works actively in Mandalay and Yangon to provide hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings and training for medical staff and volunteers.  

Since its foundation in 2015 MSFD has:

• Maintained annual visits to Myanmar with UK audiologists, Teachers of the Deaf and ENT consultants.
• Provided audiological assessments and hearing aids for children at both schools in
• Mandalay and Yangon.
• ENT consultants have performed ear operations for various life-threatening ear conditions.
• Helped to train local Myanmar doctors and Teachers of the Deaf.
• Facilitated Myanmar ENT doctors to visit the UK.
