About Me:

Mr Bhatia is an Orthopaedic surgeon with special interest in Foot and Ankle Surgery.

He trained in the South East Thames (Guy's and St Thomas Hospitals, London) Higher Surgical Training Programme. He completed a one year Foot and Ankle surgery Fellowship at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge and was nominated by the European Foot and Ankle Society as travelling fellow of the year 2009, providing him with an excellent opportunity to visit prestigious Foot and Ankle surgery centres in New York, North Carolina and Dallas.

He has written a chapter on forefoot disorders in the Oxford Textbook of Trauma and Orthopaedics and is involved in a number of research projects at University Hospitals of Leicester.

His special clinical interests include: bunion surgery, big toe arthritis, Morton's neuroma excision, rheumatoid foot reconstruction, midfoot arthritis, ankle arthroscopy, ankle instability, tendon problems around the foot and ankle, deformity correction, arthroscopic ankle fusion and ankle replacement.
