CHUGGS – Cancer, Haematology, Urology, Gastroenterology and General Surgery

At Leicester’s Hospitals we are fortunate to have an extremely strong research team in each of the areas that we cover in our CMG. Many of our lead investigators have national /international reputations in their field of expertise.

We have a breadth of research occurring in our cancer, malignant and benign haematology, urology, gastroenterology and general surgery portfolios. Our remit is wide-ranging, forward-thinking and patient focused.

We work collaboratively with our academic colleagues at the University of Leicester especially the Leicester Cancer Research Centre who host the Experimental Cancer Medicine Research Centre. This association links directly with our dedicated research facility, the Hope Cancer Trials Centre, in the delivery of cutting edge research.
