Staff in the Intensive Care Unit during the COVID-19 pandemic

Intensive care, theatres, anaesthesia, pain and sleep are perhaps specialty areas that do not immediately spring to mind when considering clinical research, but this work is vital.

When a person has a procedure or a condition that requires our support, our job is to make sure that they have the best care possible in what can be a very stressful situation.

Clinical research is absolutely imperative because it allows us to offer treatment which will benefit each individual the most.

Our research teams are involved in most areas of clinical care. We have to know which of the latest treatments will be the most positive in each specialty pathway.

Our CMG supports the delivery of best clinical care to our patients at all times.
