Equality information we collect

We are required as part of our Public sector equality Duty to collect information on as many of the groups that are protected from discrimination which are:

o    Ethnicity

o    Disability

o    Sex

o    Sexual Orientation

o    Age

o    Religion and Belief

o    Gender re-assignment

o    Pregnancy and Maternity

o    Civil partnership

This applies to people who work and use the Leicester hospitals. We do this to make sure that patients are getting the most out of health services and where they are not we make changes. We also want to know that that the people who work at the Trust are representative of the local population and that UHL is a good and fair place to work.

Our Patient Experience Team collect data through the Friends and Family Test (FFT). The information has been broken down into different protected characteristics and you can find the data from the link below.
