Meet the equality team

Haseeb Ahmad Equality and Diversity Lead

Role includes to:

  • Develop and support the delivery of the Trust’s equality and diversity strategy
  • Manage the interpretation and Translation Service
  • Deliver equality and diversity training to staff
  • Manage the Trust’s engagement with its stakeholders such as patients, equality groups, staff from protected characteristics to ensure that the Trust considers the views of everyone during decision making
  • Support equality projects and programmes designed to eliminate discrimination, harassment and victimisation and that promote the advancement of equality of opportunity for all

Shaheen Mulla - Equality and Diversity Coordinator 

Is responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing the Leicester Works Project which is about providing job trials for young people with learning disabilities, in order to give them the skills required to make them more employable.
  • Managing the Anti-Bullying and Harassment project and that includes the Staff Adviser Service.
  • The day to day management of the Interpreting and Translation service
  • Developing the Equality websites and supporting the team with the Equality objectives.

In her spare time Shaheen likes to cook tasty dishes, enjoys spending time with her family and loves travelling to foreign destinations.

Abby Reynolds- Support Worker to Equality and Diversity Lead

Supports Haseeb Ahmad, the Equality Lead with:

  • Day to day administration
  • Diary management
  • Getting to internal and external meetings

In her spare time Abby like to do volunteering, reading and spending time with family friends.
