Head of Equality and Diversity

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support the delivery of the Trust’s equality and diversity strategy and equality diversity and inclusion transformation programme
  • Support the delivery of equality and diversity development programmes to all UHL staff
  • Manage the Trust’s engagement with its stakeholders such as patients, equality groups, staff from protected characteristics to ensure that the Trust considers the views of everyone during decision making
  • Advise Senior Leaders and staff in the Trust of any equality and diversity strategic implications in relation to policy development and programmes of work
  • Deliver equality projects and programmes designed to eliminate discrimination, harassment, and victimisation and that promote the advancement of equality of opportunity for all

 

Equality and Diversity Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing the Leicester Works Project which is about providing job opportunities for young people with learning disabilities, in order to give them the skills and develop their potential
  • Coordinating the day to day activities of the Anti-Bullying and Harassment Stakeholder Group which includes managing the Anti Bullying Hotline
  • Managing the Disability Advisory Service
  • Supporting equality and diversity projects
  • Equality and Diversity Policy Development
  • Coordinating the Equality and Diversity Board Meetings and supporting the team to deliver on its equality and diversity objectives

 

Equality and Diversity Administrative support

Responsibilities

  • Day to day administration for the Equality and Diversity Team
  • Diary management
  • Project support activities
  • Answering queries in relation to the activities of the Equality and Diversity Team

Equality and Diversity Project Support

  • Supporting the Head of Equality and Diversity in the delivery of equality, diversity and inclusion transformation programmes
  • •Deliver bespoke equality, diversity, and inclusion development sessions to UHL staff
  • •Provision of advice and guidance to Trust staff on all matters relating to equality, diversity, and inclusion
