Freedom of Information Complaints

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL) will respond to any request for information as quickly as we can. We aim to respond to all FoI complaints within the deadline of 20 working days. If you are unhappy with the way your request has been handled you can make a complaint. Your complaint can relate to:

  • The handling of the request
  • The decision not to disclose the information requested
Complaints about the handling of a request for information, made under the Freedom of Information (FoI) Act, will be dealt with by the Assistant Director of Corporate and Legal Affairs (Administration).

Complaints relating to a decision by the chief executive not to disclose information under section 36 of the FoI Act (that states “disclosure would prejudice the effective conduct of public affairs”) will be referred to the Information Commissioner.
