Who do we treat? We offer treatment to all children and young people (up to the age of 25 years) with a Cancer or Haematology diagnosis. Treatment may be offered as part of a clinical trial.

What conditions do we treat? We have a number of clinical trials for children and young people. On average over half of the patients we treat will be involved in research. We treat the following cancers and have research available in many of these areas:

  • Leukaemia
  • Lymphoma
  • Bone tumours
  • Soft tissue tumours
  • Muscle tumours
  • Brain tumours
  • Kidney tumours
  • Breast tumours
  • Ovarian/ Cervical/ Testicular tumours

Where does cancer research take place?  We see children and young people within the Children’s Cancer unit and Teenage Cancer Trust unit on Ward 27. Young adults who are involved in research may choose to have their treatment in the HOPE Clinical Trials Facility.
