Children's Cardiology (heart) Research

Children OMACp study logo

OMACp

Who is it for? Children and young people aged 0-18 years with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) who have had a cardiac procedure ( heart surgery or catheterisation)

Why? We want to collect information about the short, medium and long-term health of children who have had a cardiac procedure.

We will use this information to look at different groups of people based on their characteristics at the time of their procedure, or different ways that operations were performed, or how quickly patients recover in hospital to see if any of these things are linked to how well patients do in the long term. We can use this knowledge to improve the care given to cardiac patients in the future, and hopefully improve the long-term outcomes for all.
