Industry Information- Children's Neurology Research

Patient Population: 

The  paediatric neurology service provides secondary and tertiary services to the Leicestershire and Rutland communities. Leicester Royal Infirmary has one of the fastest growing out patient and inpatient services in paediatric Neurology in the UK and sees nearly 5000 patients in our outpatient department. Almost all neurological conditions are cared for, including:

• DMD- 31 patients
  
• Neuromuscular- 160 patients
  
• Epilepsy- 1800 patients

Research interests and experience:

Research active consultants experienced in multi-centre commercial and non-commercial studies for epilepsy, ketogenic diet, and other neurological conditions.
