Community Conversations Event - 16 January 2018

Leicester’s Hospitals to run an event focusing on the experience of people with disabilities

Leicester’s Hospitals are running an event on January 16 which will explore the hospital experience of people with a disability. This is part of series of “Community Conversation” events which aim to promote a dialogue between our Trust Board and a range of local community groups.

For our January Community Conversation event we would like to speak with people with disabilities as well as carers. During the event we will be exploring what we are doing well and what we may need to improve to ensure that we are supporting people with disabilities as they access our services.

The session is being supported by the Leicestershire Centre for Integrated Living and will take place on Tuesday January 16, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. It will be held in the West End Neighbourhood Centre, Andrewes St, Leicester LE3 5PA.

Please come along and join the conversation. Refreshments will be served.

If you have an experience of Leicester’s Hospitals either as a person with a disability, carer or relative you are most welcome to attend.

There is no need to book a place, but if you would like any further information please contact Karl Mayes, Patient & Public Involvement Manager on karl.mayes@uhl-tr.nhs.ukor telephone on 0116 258 8685.
