University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust will be holding its Annual Public Meeting (APM) on Tuesday 24 September 2024 at Devonshire Place, 78 London Rd, Leicester LE2 0RA.
This year’s event will be an opportunity to join with communities, colleagues, and stakeholders to reflect on the progress made in year one of our strategy: Leading in healthcare, trusted in communities.
From 2pm – 4:30pm, we will be running a Community Health Festival, where you will be able to access health checks, screening, and advice from our expert staff. Local charity Heartwize will also be providing basic life support training – come along to learn essential lifesaving skills.
Some key activities at the event includes:
- Liver screening team - offering on the day liver screening with on the spot results
- Head and neck health checks by consultant Oladejo Olaleye
- UHL's recruitment team - find out about jobs at UHL
- Meet some of our community partners and hear about the work they are doing
- Engage with our Board of Directors and ask questions about Leicester’s Hospitals
Refreshments will be available during the day, with a light buffet served at 4:30pm.
The formal Annual Public Meeting starts at 5:30pm with Chief Executive, Richard Mitchell, and the Board of Directors sharing their vision for the future of UHL. The Board welcomes this as an opportunity to engage with the public and our communities with dedicated time to answer your questions.
