Compliance Reviews

There are 16 Care Quality Commission (CQC) Essential Standards of Quality and Safety Outcomes which we need to demonstrate we comply with.  We are required to show the ongoing monitoring of compliance with these outcomes.

As part of their role, the CQC can carry out visits to providers of health and social care. These can either be planned (as part of their scheduled activity) or responsive (in response to negative intelligence/complaint(s)).

In November 2010 the CQC carried out a planned review at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. The overall summary is that  “the CQC found that the LRI was meeting all of the essential standards of quality and safety we reviewed.”

In January 2011 the CQC carried out a planned review at Glenfield Hospital. The overall summary is that  “the CQC found that Glenfield Hospital was meeting all of the essential standards of quality and safety we reviewed.”

In February 2011 the CQC carried out a planned review at the Leicester General Hospital. The overall summary is that  “the CQC found that the General Hospital was meeting all of the essential standards of quality and safety we reviewed.”

In April 2011 the CQC carried out a planned review at St Mary's Birth Centre. The overall summary is that  “the CQC found that St Mary's Birth Centre was meeting all of the essential standards of quality and safety we reviewed.”
