What is volunteering?

Volunteering is when you spend unpaid time (around 3 hours per week) doing something to benefit others in a hospital setting (this won’t be shadowing Nurses or Doctors or gaining work experience).

What do volunteers do?

Our volunteers all help to directly support patients and their families and a big part of any volunteer role is talking and listening to patients. We take volunteers aged 16 or above and do not require you to have any specific skills, training or experience.
