Covid-19 donations and fundraising

FOR OUR STAFF

We are actively fundraising to be able to provide items that you need, whether it be equipment, wellbeing, or support for patients.  Our COVID-19 Response Appeal has raised £40,000 to date, and we have an initial target of £100,000.

We will soon have access to additional funding from NHS Charities Together to specifically support the wellbeing of staff and volunteers at this time.

Alongside funding, we are coordinating all requests for donated items from UHL Staff and all offers of donations from local businesses and individuals. Please do not use social media or any other means to directly ask for donations. Please make sure this is done through the Leicester charity.

MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC OFFERING ITEMS

There has been a flood of offers of support from our communities and we are extremely grateful for this generosity. We are collating all offers of support and directing them in the most appropriate way within our hospitals. You can help us by passing on any offers you receive personally to us. They can be sent to lhcharity@uhl-tr.nhs.uky, with “OFFER” clearly stated in the subject line.  This will ensure all offers are handled safely and efficiently.

Please do not direct people to drop items off at the hospital, or the Charity office. We will make all arrangements.

STAFF OR MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC WISHING TO FUNDRAISE

We are able to support staff or members of the public wishing to fundraise for us.  We are launching a series of virtual events, and we can help set up Facebook fundraisers or JustGiving pages.

Details of how to donate to our appeal can be found on our webpage,  www.lhcharity.org.uk.
