Coach and train travel

Coach Travel

Travel by coach is usually cheaper than going by train, but journey times are longer (up to twice as long). To plan journeys, buy tickets, and to check for any travel disruption, visit the website of the company operating the service (see below).

The principal bus stations in Leicester for all companies are St Margaret's (on Vaughan Way) and the Haymarket (in Charles Street).

The railway station in Leicester is on London Road, near to the centre of the city.  There are a selection of hotels within either walking distance or a short taxi ride. The station has lifts to allow passengers to get onto and off the platform and into the main part of the station.
