The University Hospitals of Leicester are pleased to be able to offer patients, and patients' relatives, residential accommodation on all two of our hospital sites: Leicester Royal Infirmary and Glenfield Hospital.
We realise that if you have an early appointment at the hospital, or have a relative or friend having treatment, it can make life very difficult if you live a long distance away from our hospitals. All of our patient relative accommodation is situated within a short walking distance from the main hospitals and you will find our accommodation charges very reasonable compared to local hotels in the area.
At the Glenfield Hospital we have accommodation for our patient relatives and visitors located within the Hospital grounds just a short walking distance from the main hospital sites.
The Glenfield Hospital are predominantly for single occupants in self-catered shared accommodation but we do offer very limited double or twin rooms. Unfortunately, we do not have any accommodation for large family groups but some rooms may accommodate a pull-out bed for a small child, please ask a member of the accommodation staff for more details.
All guests who stay with us in our patient relative accommodation at the Glenfield Hospital sites will be provided with free on-site car parking throughout their stay in the designated residency car parks. Please ensure you have a current parking permit displayed at all times.
For those seeking accommodation at the Leicester Royal Infirmary, we currently work in partnership with Sovereign to provide good quality, affordable accommodation to patient relatives and visitors to the Trust at the Walnut Street residencies which is situated directly across the road form the Havelock Street entrance to the Hospital. The accommodation at Walnut Street caters predominantly for single occupants in self-catered shared accommodation but they do also make a limited number of family apartments available to Leicester's Hospitals.
The Walnut Street residencies has its own car park for use by residents, there is a small charge payable for a permit which can be purchased on a first come first served basis directly from the Accommodation Office at Sovereign
At all three sites bed linen and towels will be provided to our guests.
