We offer a Patient Buggy Service at each hospital, which operates within the perimeters of each of the hospital sites. The Buggy Service is free to use and is run by a team of trained volunteer buggy drivers.
At the Leicester Royal Infirmary, the buggy can take patients around the hospital site to different buildings, to the car park or to the pharmacy. The buggy can be requested from Balmoral Reception or you can telephone the buggy driver upon your arrival to use this service.
The Glenfield Hospital buggy can pick up and drop off patients for the car parks, the main entrance of the hospital or take patients to other parts of the hospital site. The buggy can be requested from the main reception or you can telephone the buggy driver upon your arrival to use this service.
The Leicester General Hospital buggy can take passengers to each of the outside entrances to the hospital site and to the bus stops within the hospital grounds. The buggy can be requested from the main reception or you can telephone the buggy driver upon your arrival to use this service.

The Patient Buggy Service is subject to volunteer availability. This service does not operate on bank holidays.
The Patient Buggy Service is funded through the Leicester Hospitals Charity and individual voluntary donations. If you would like to make a donation towards the upkeep of the service, please ask the driver for a donation envelope. Thank you very much.
