As part of the visiting restrictions in our hospitals, it is not possible to meet our Patient Information and Liaison Service face-to-face in order to raise a concern or complaint.

We still want to hear from you so if you want to make a complaint or raise a concern please contact us in one of the following alternative ways listed below.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic we have been advised by NHS England and NHS Improvement to ‘pause’ the NHS complaints process which will allow us to concentrate our efforts on the front-line duties and responsiveness to COVID-19. This is an unprecedented action required by the whole NHS due to the exceptional pressures we are facing at this time.

We are able to log your complaint or concern and this will then remain open until further notice or until you should choose to withdraw your complaint. We are genuinely sorry that we are unable to investigate your complaint/concern at this time. We will regularly review the overall position to decide when it would be right to re-start our work

Whether you have a query, concern, need some information or wish to make a formal complaint about any of the services provided by the University Hospitals of Leicester our Patient Safety and Complaints officers are available to help.

We will liaise with hospital staff, internal departments and other relevant organisations to resolve any concerns or issues you have raised as quickly as possible.

We can also advise you about how to make a formal complaint about our service should you feel that we have not provided the appropriate support.
