Feedback on your mobile phone

At Leicester’s Hospitals we offer our patients the chance to give feedback via Text/SMS messages on their mobile phone in the following areas:

  • Adult outpatient clinics
  • Childrens outpatients clinics
  • Specific areas of the Emergency Department
  • Adult and Childrens Wards
  • Maternity Services

Following attendance at an outpatient appointment, stay on an inpatient ward, or visit to the emergency departments listed above,  your mobile phone number may be used to send you a text asking for your feedback. In Maternity services you should receive a text around 36 weeks of your pregnancy, and also around 10 days following the birth of our baby.

Leicester’s Hospitals purchase a ‘free to end user’ shortcode number (60131) which ensures we cover all the costs involved in messages to and from this number.

Please note that in some areas of Outpatients such as the Imaging department you may receive a text which contains a link that takes you to the survey. If your request for feedback contains a link please do not reply to the text- simply click the link and complete the feedback on your device..

Important messages for some handset owners (Samsung Android in particular)

Warnings about charges - our network provider has advised us that some patients may receive a warning of potential charges from their mobile handset when attempting to reply to our request for Friends and Family Test feedback. These messages are automated on the handset itself and are beyond our control, however you can be assured you will not be charged for taking part.

Difficulties in replying to the text – because our ‘free to end user’ number is a shortcode number it is possible some handsets will restrict the ability to reply. If you experience this issue please speak to your network provider, or alternatively use the feedback surveys available on this website to give your feedback instead.
